Q: What is CSA 2010?

 

A: CSA 2010 stands for Comprehensive Safety Analysis and was implemented by the FMCSA in December 2010. It allows the FMCSA to have a more effective way of enforcing regulations on non- compliant CMV operators. All violations received on roadside inspections are calculated to determine your safety rating. If your safety rating reaches the threshold, the FMCSA will be begin contact with the carrier via increased roadside inspections, letters, safety audits and complete compliance reviews.
